Rimini police seize 50 counterfeit luxury items and 30 metal brand tags

The local police in Rimini conducted a raid at a makeshift market on the Parco del Mare promenade, seizing 50 counterfeit articles—including bags, wallets, belts and hats bearing the names of Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent—and 30 metal tags bearing the same brand logos that were ready to be affixed to additional fake merchandise. The operation, carried out by officers in plain clothes, followed a routine patrol and resulted in the confiscation of the goods and a criminal complaint for counterfeiting and receipt of stolen goods. The seizure follows earlier checks in the same area that had previously uncovered 148 counterfeit items.

The incident underscores the ongoing effort by Rimini’s law‑enforcement units to curb the sale of counterfeit luxury goods along the city’s coastal promenade.
