Rimini selected to host 2029 ESMAC International Congress

The city of Rimini has been chosen to host the 2029 European Society for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children (ESMAC) congress at its Palacongressi. The event, scheduled for September 27–29, 2029, will focus on human movement analysis through clinical and scientific interaction across rehabilitation, surgery, neuroscience, and bioengineering disciplines.

Rimini’s bid was successful against competing applications from Istanbul and Lisbon. The congress is expected to draw over 500 professionals from across Europe, including orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, neurologists, physiotherapists, and biomedical engineers. The event will also host the national conference of the Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis (SIAMOC).

The successful candidacy is attributed to the local network coordinated by the Riviera di Rimini Convention Bureau, with initial momentum provided by the Sol et Salus private hospital in Torre Pedrera, a center for neuro-orthopedic surgery and neurological research.
