Rimini to host inaugural Gianluca Vialli Award

The first Gianluca Vialli Award will take place in Rimini from October 4 to 6, honoring the legacy of the late Italian football champion. Organized by the Weplay Association with support from the Vialli family and the Italian Footballers Association (AIC), the three-day event focuses on sport, inclusion, and solidarity.

Rimini was chosen for its historical connection to Vialli, who rose to prominence playing for Cremonese at the Romeo Neri stadium in 1982. The event will feature various football figures, including Roberto Mancini, Christian Ravanelli, and Pio Esposito, bringing together former teammates and current talents to celebrate the values of respect and courage embodied by Vialli.
