Rimini to install surveillance cameras in all municipal cemeteries
The municipality of Rimini is implementing a video surveillance system across all twelve of its municipal cemeteries to combat theft and vandalism. The project is currently in the design phase following the allocation of funds.
An estimated 225,000 euros is designated for this specific intervention, part of a larger one-million-euro security budget. A total of 29 cameras will be installed, with the Monumentale cemetery receiving eight devices due to its size and the need to cover multiple entrances and areas. Other locations, including San Vito, Spadarolo, and San Lorenzo in Correggiano, will receive varying numbers of cameras. The initiative follows numerous reports of crimes, particularly thefts from vehicles parked in cemetery parking lots.
