Rimouski announces autumn leisure activities and charity book sale
The City of Rimouski has announced several community initiatives for September 2026. Registration for autumn 2026 leisure activities and cultural workshops will take place from September 8 to September 9. The programming includes cultural workshops for youth, such as manga and comic book drawing, as well as pottery and theater. Adult offerings include drawing and pottery, while seniors can access sports, relaxation activities, and computer classes. The Accès-Loisirs Rimouski program will also hold in-person registration for low-income residents on September 10 at the Saint-Pie-X community center.
Additionally, a large second-hand book sale will be held at the Lisette-Morin Library from September 10 to 13. Thousands of books from library collections will be available for voluntary contributions. All proceeds will benefit the organization En tout C. A. S., specifically supporting the Le 95 emergency shelter. Citizens are invited to donate books in good condition to the library until September 9.
