Rimouski celebrates late summer with nature and the 40th Festi Jazz
Rimouski is entering its late summer and early autumn transition, offering a period of increased tranquility as high-season crowds diminish. The region provides opportunities for nature and gastronomy, featuring scenic views of the Saint Lawrence River and the changing colors of the Bas-Saint-Laurent forests, particularly in areas like Parc national du Bic.
Adding to the seasonal activity, the 40th Festi Jazz international de Rimouski is scheduled from September 3 to 6. The festival aims to decentralize culture by bringing international artists to the region. General Manager Andra Florea noted that the event includes a variety of activities such as salsa and swing workshops, yoga, and artisan kiosks, with free access to the site. The festival typically attracts approximately 10,000 visitors from across Quebec and New Brunswick.
