Rina Balaj defends food quality criticisms in Prishtina

Singer Rina Balaj has responded to online criticism regarding her recent comments on food quality and pricing in Prishtina restaurants. The controversy arose after Balaj expressed concerns that high prices in the capital do not always align with the quality of the dining experience, citing a meat dish costing 30 euros as an example.

In response to a follower who used her origins in Istog to dismiss her views, Balaj stated she is proud of her heritage and that her background does not invalidate her opinions on culinary standards. She shifted the focus to broader issues in Kosovo, noting that while the country possesses fertile land capable of high-quality food production, much of it is being converted for construction rather than agriculture. This leads to a reliance on imported fruits and vegetables instead of local production.
