Rincón de la Victoria launches smart tourism data platform

The municipality of Rincón de la Victoria has launched a Smart Data Platform to advance its digital transformation and tourism management. Developed by Innovasur, the tool integrates information from various sources to provide a comprehensive view of the territory and support data-driven decision-making.

In its initial phase, the platform focuses on tourism and environmental data. Key indicators include climate information, water consumption, and the generation and typology of waste. The system also allows for the geographic mapping of resources, such as the distribution of waste containers, to facilitate territorial analysis.

Mayor Francisco Salado stated that the platform enables the municipality to convert generated data into useful information for more effective planning, aiming to establish a modern and sustainable tourist destination. Tourism Councillor Antonio José Martín noted that the tool overcomes previous challenges where data was fragmented across different administrative bodies and tools.
