Ring expands security lineup with new 4K cameras and smart lock
Ring, an Amazon-owned brand, has expanded its home security lineup with five new camera models featuring Retinal Vision technology. This expansion includes four 4K resolution cameras and one 2K pan-tilt indoor camera designed to provide high-definition imagery and improved low-light performance.
The new 4K models include the Outdoor Camera 4K Plus, which offers versatile power options such as battery, solar, plug-in, wired, or Power over Ethernet (PoE). Other 4K additions are the Spotlight Camera 4K Plus, featuring a 550-lumen spotlight, the Floodlight Camera 4K Plus, and the Indoor Camera 4K, which includes a physical privacy shutter.
Additionally, the Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam 2K provides 360-degree coverage and automatic motion tracking. The brand also announced the Ring Smart Lock, a device slated for release in the United States in early 2027, which features a manual crank to provide emergency power if the battery dies.
