Ringier to relaunch SonntagsBlick as Saturday publication

The Swiss publishing house Ringier has confirmed that the newspaper SonntagsBlick will change its publication schedule. Starting January 9, 2027, the publication will no longer appear on Sundays and will instead be released on Saturdays under the new name ‘Blick fürs Wochenende’.

This decision follows months of industry speculation regarding the future of the Sunday edition. While Ringier has moved to redefine its news, sports, and entertainment offerings, other major Swiss publishers, including Tamedia and NZZ, currently intend to maintain their existing Sunday publication schedules. The shift in SonntagsBlick’s distribution may also impact the shared costs of early morning delivery services currently utilized by several Sunday titles.
