Rinku Singh leads Meerut Mavericks to victory in UP T20 League

Rinku Singh led the Meerut Mavericks to victory over the Lucknow Falcons in the UP T20 League 2026 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. Chasing a target of 184, the Mavericks reached 154/6 in 16.5 overs before rain halted play. Under the DLS method, Meerut was declared the winner by five runs, marking their third consecutive victory and placing them at the top of the tournament standings.

Singh, the Mavericks' captain, played a decisive role with an unbeaten 55 runs off just 24 deliveries, a knock that included two fours and six sixes. His performance was particularly impactful during the 17th over, where he struck 26 runs off five deliveries despite rain interruptions.

Teammate Kartik Tyagi praised Singh’s finishing abilities, stating that the batter ranks among the top five global finishers at his position. Tyagi noted that Singh’s aggressive mindset and hard work provide the team with significant confidence during high-pressure situations.
