Rino Tazawa released on bail following drug charges

Rino Tazawa, a popular hostess and influencer known as ‘Yamatourino,’ has been released on bail following her arrest for drug possession and use. Tazawa, 27, was initially arrested on September 15 at her residence in Minato, Tokyo, for possession of 0.4 grams of cocaine. She was later re-arrested on October 7 on suspicion of using both cocaine and ketamine.

During her initial arrest and transfer, Tazawa drew significant public attention for her provocative behavior, including making hand signs and a ‘tehepero’ pose (sticking out her tongue while winking) toward the media. However, acquaintances describe her as having a more sensitive and introverted personality when not under the influence of alcohol, contrasting with her bold social media persona.

The bail amount was set at 2.5 million yen. Investigations revealed that ketamine was also detected in her urine and in various plastic bags seized from her home.
