Rio and Kate Ferdinand to join ITV's 'Wild Frontier' reality series

Former England footballer Rio Ferdinand and his wife Kate, a former star of The Only Way Is Essex, are being positioned as the headline signing for ITV's upcoming "I'm A Celebrity" spin‑off, titled Wild Frontier. The show is slated to film in Canada next month and would make the Ferdinands the first married couple to compete together on the format.

Producers say the pair will join fellow Boyzone alumni Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy in a series of the programme’s signature bushtucker trials. It would be Rio’s debut on reality television, while Kate is already familiar to UK audiences from her long‑running role on the TOWIE series.
