Violent crime and various incidents reported across Brazil and Paraguay

Various violent incidents and criminal activities have been reported across South America. In Paraguay, Lucía Morel Alves was arrested following a shooting at a funeral home, an event linked to a suspected attempt on her father's life stemming from a family business dispute.

In Brazil, several shootings and robberies occurred. In Rio Branco, a gunman killed a worker and injured a woman and two children. In Eunápolis, a woman was assaulted and sexually abused by a group claiming gang affiliation. In Cassilândia, a home was targeted by gunfire due to a suspected gang death list. Other incidents include a fatal shooting during a rural festival in Conceição do Coité, a robbery in Campo Grande, and a fatal shooting in Manaus.

Domestic violence and theft were also noted, including an attempted femicide in Catanduva and the theft of items from the home of São Paulo's Education Secretary, Fernando Padula Novaes. Additionally, a lightning strike in Porto Velho killed a father and his seven-year-old daughter.
