Rio Branco car accident leaves two injured after vehicle falls into culvert

Two men were injured on Sunday afternoon after their vehicle fell into a small culvert on the Estrada do Barro Vermelho in Rio Branco, near the Jorge Kalume School.

Luan de Freitas Cavalcante, 21, was driving a black Chevrolet Corsa Classic when he lost control while descending a hill. The passenger, 30-year-old Kenedy Souza da Silva, was also in the vehicle. Both men sustained mild traumatic brain injuries (TCE). Cavalcante suffered cervical and knee pain along with facial abrasions, while Silva sustained a fractured right clavicle and a head laceration.

SAMU emergency teams, including basic and advanced support units, provided medical assistance at the scene. Both victims were transported to the Rio Branco Emergency Room in stable condition. The Military Police Traffic Battalion recorded the accident, and the vehicle was later removed by family members.
