Rio Branco man found dead with hands tied in suspected execution

Francisco Jerônimo do Nascimento, 39, was found dead on Tuesday night in the Rosalinda neighborhood of Rio Branco's Second District. The victim, who was monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet, was reportedly approached by two hooded men on Rua João Vieira.

According to Military Police, the suspects tied the victim's hands and moved him to a poorly lit area before attacking him with knives. The wounds were concentrated on his neck, face, and abdomen. Emergency medical services (SAMU) arrived at the scene, but death was already confirmed.

Local residents informed police that Nascimento was suspected of involvement in several thefts in the area. There are also reports suggesting the killing may have been ordered by a criminal organization. The Civil Police's Pronto Emprego (EPE) team is handling the initial investigation, which will later be transferred to the Homicide and Person Protection Police Station (DHPP). No suspects have been apprehended.
