Rio Branco woman attacks man with knife in attempted murder

A 61-year-old man, Evilásio Silva de Lima, was the victim of an attempted murder in the Tancredo Neves neighborhood of Rio Branco on Monday night. The suspect, identified as Roseli Almeida, allegedly approached the man while he was walking on a public street and struck him in the neck with a knife.

Local residents provided initial first aid to control the bleeding before emergency medical services arrived. The victim was stabilized and transported to the Rio Branco Emergency Care Unit in stable condition.

Almeida is currently a fugitive after reportedly cutting her electronic monitoring ankle bracelet on Sunday. Witnesses claim that before fleeing the scene of her previous disappearance from monitoring, she stated she would have to kill someone to be arrested. This incident marks the second time a man has been stabbed by the same woman in this region within a single month.
