Rio Branco: Woman shot dead by motorcycle suspects

Claudia da Silva Rodrigues, 35, was shot and killed on Thursday night in the Vitória neighborhood of Rio Branco. The attack occurred near her residence when two men arriving on a motorcycle approached her.

According to reports, one suspect initially approached the victim under the guise of asking for information before drawing a weapon and firing multiple shots. The victim was struck in the shoulder, arms, back, and abdomen. Despite her injuries, she attempted to reach her home but collapsed near the entrance. The suspects fled the scene immediately on the motorcycle.

Local authorities, including the Military Police and the Homicide and Person Protection Police Station (DHPP), have secured the area. Investigators are currently looking into the possibility that the killing was a targeted execution or a contract crime, noting that the suspects appeared to know the victim's location. The motive and the identities of the perpetrators remain unknown.
