Rio Claro residents report failures in bulky waste collection service

Residents in Rio Claro are reporting failures in the ‘cata-bagulho’ service, which is responsible for collecting large items such as old furniture, appliances, and tires. Complaints have emerged from several neighborhoods, including Cervezão, Santa Elisa, Vila Alemã, and Cidade Jardim, where residents claim items left out according to the official schedule were not collected.

The municipal government stated that there have been no changes to the collection schedule. Instead, the administration noted that the service is undergoing improvements, including the implementation of GPS tracking on collection trucks to monitor routes, stops, and timing to increase efficiency and control.
