Rio das Ostras launches 2026 instrumental music season

The Rio das Ostras Instrumental 2026 season has launched in the Lakes Region of Rio de Janeiro, establishing the city as a growing cultural destination. Presented by Petrobras, the project will feature four free instrumental music performances at the Concha Acústica of Praça São Pedro in the city center.

The scheduled performances will take place on October 10, November 21, and December 5 and 12, starting at 4:00 PM. The October and November dates are timed near the national holidays of Nossa Senhora Aparecida and Consciência Negra to coincide with increased local tourism, while the December shows align with the city's high season.

The season opens on October 10 with a special celebration of Victor Biglione’s 50-year career. Biglione, an Argentine-born musician based in Brazil, will perform alongside pianist and composer Marcos Ariel, with guest appearances by singer Barbara Mendes and drummer Helbe Machado.
