Rio de Janeiro and Brazil Federal Government Launch Integrated Entrepreneurship Platform

The Rio de Janeiro municipal government and Brazil’s federal Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Micro‑enterprise and Small Business signed an agreement to merge the city’s Oportunidades Cariocas portal with the national Contrata+Brasil platform. The integration will allow users to access job training, micro‑entrepreneur opportunities and public procurement contracts through a single digital interface. Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere and Minister Paulo Henrique Pereira said the joint effort aims to expand income‑generation options for residents and connect micro‑entrepreneurs with government purchases. The combined services are expected to be fully operational on both portals by the end of the year.
