Rio de Janeiro government awards R$ 97.7 million education contract to FGV

The Rio de Janeiro State Government has contracted the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) for R$ 97.7 million to provide consultancy services to the State Secretariat of Education (Seeduc-RJ). The contract, which was awarded without a bidding process due to the specialized nature of the services, is set to last 14 months.

FGV will be responsible for reorganizing the administration and pedagogical aspects of the state high school network. Key objectives include implementing strategies to combat school dropout rates, creating digital monitoring panels for student attendance and teacher presence, and developing digital learning materials. The consultancy also includes training up to 3,300 professionals and deploying educational articulators to prioritize specific schools.
