Rio de Janeiro hosts major dance productions in October

Rio de Janeiro will host two significant dance productions this October. The Deborah Colker Dance Company is presenting ‘Remix’ at Cidade das Artes from October 11 to November 2. The show is a retrospective that integrates scenes from four of the company’s previous works: ‘Vulcão’ (1994), ‘Rota’ (1997), ‘4x4’ (2002), and ‘Belle’ (2014). Featuring 16 dancers, the two-act performance explores themes ranging from dense, explosive emotions to lightness and joy.

Additionally, the Buenos Aires Tango Show will perform a unique presentation at Teatro Clara Nunes on October 18. Organized by producer and dancer Fernando DeCampos, the event brings Argentine tango tradition to Rio de Janeiro. The show features over 20 dancers, including world champions, and combines live music with choreography and costumes inspired by the grand shows of Buenos Aires.
