Rio de Janeiro hosts retro-themed musical events

Various musical celebrations in Rio de Janeiro are focusing on nostalgic themes. The Rebobina party is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a special Halloween edition at Rio Scenarium on October 31. The event, themed ‘Six decades. One single party’, will feature music spanning from the 1970s to current hits, including disco, soul, funk, pop, and R&B. The venue will be decorated with vintage technology such as vinyl records, cassette tapes, and VHS tapes to create a time-travel atmosphere.

Additionally, the Centro de Convivência do Idoso (Cecon) hosted a 1960s-themed dance for seniors. The event featured period-appropriate costumes and music to encourage social connection and reminiscence among participants and their families.
