Rio de Janeiro implements traffic changes for Maracanã football match

CET-Rio will implement a traffic operation this Sunday for the Flamengo vs. Corinthians match at the Maracanã stadium. Vehicle traffic restrictions in the area are scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM, with parking prohibitions on certain streets starting as early as 10:00 AM.

The operation includes traffic agents, operational vehicles, and motorcycles to guide movement. Additionally, 13 variable message panels will provide information regarding closure times and alternative routes. Technicians at the Rio Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio) will monitor the area via cameras to adjust traffic light programming if necessary to ensure road conditions.
