Rio de Janeiro offers thousands of job openings and social services

The state of Rio de Janeiro is seeing a significant surge in employment and social service opportunities. In Gamboa, the 4th edition of the ‘Feira Primeiro Passo’ will offer over 5,000 job openings across tourism, commerce, and services sectors to prepare for the high season. Participating companies include Grupo Cataratas, C&A Brasil, and MetrôRio, with roles ranging from logistics and sales to biology and administration.

Across the state, thousands of other positions are available. The State Secretariat of Labor and Income (Setrab) has announced 1,429 vacancies, while the Rio de Janeiro City Hall maintains a database of 2,849 posts, including many entry-level roles in logistics and telemarketing. In Petrópolis, the municipal employment center is offering 61 positions this week, including roles for apprentices and administrative assistants.

In addition to employment, social assistance programs like ‘RJ Para Todos’ are providing free services in Guapimirim throughout October. These initiatives include assistance with identity documents, marriage licensing, and nutritional consultations to support local citizenship and social welfare.
