Rio de Janeiro launches R$ 246 million tender for Santa Cruz park

The Rio de Janeiro City Hall has scheduled a bidding process for October 30 for the second stage of the Parque Terra Prometida in Santa Cruz. The contract is estimated at R$ 246.3 million and covers the construction of major structures on a 200,000-square-meter site.

The project includes a nave capable of seating 7,000 people for religious services and celebrations, featuring scenery inspired by biblical passages such as the Garden of Eden and the Red Sea. Additionally, the site will feature an immersive 360-degree cinema and a convention center. The park is expected to accommodate 10,000 daily visitors and up to 70,000 during large events, supported by new access roads and parking facilities.
