Rio de Janeiro municipal guards arrest air conditioning thief

Municipal guards from the Special Operations Group (GOE) arrested a 29-year-old man in central Rio de Janeiro for the theft of an air conditioning unit.

The incident occurred during the early hours of Thursday, August 6, at a restaurant located on Avenida Rio Branco. During the police approach, the suspect initially claimed he found the device in a trash bin before later confessing to the theft. He was taken to the 4th DP (Presidente Vargas) to register the case.
