Rio de Janeiro neighborhoods see commercial shifts
Between August and September, several commercial changes occurred in Rio de Janeiro neighborhoods including Humaitá, Jardim Botânico, Horto, and Gávea.
In Humaitá, Casa Axis opened as an interdisciplinary space for art, health, and science. In Jardim Botânico, Casa Lira established an art space featuring multiple studios, while the Supermercado Zona Sul location is expected to be replaced by an electric bicycle shop. Additionally, a BYD authorized dealer is preparing to open near Parque Lage.
Other developments include the demolition of the former Praia do Pinto Ambulatório to make way for a Drogaria Venâncio unit on Rua Maria Angélica, the arrival of the Portuguese gallery Femaluma in Horto, and the opening of the Momo ice cream parlor in Fonte da Saudade. In Gávea, the beauty salon Scène expanded with a second location in Shopping da Gávea.
