Rio de Janeiro officializes Argentino as new North Zone neighborhood
The Rio de Janeiro City Hall has officially established the boundaries for Argentino, a new neighborhood in the city's North Zone. Following the publication of Decree No. 58.828 by Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere, the decree provides a detailed map and description of the streets that form the new territory.
The perimeter of Argentino begins at the intersection of Rua Engenheiro Francelino Motta and a Light electricity transmission line, following Estrada do Quitungo, Rua do Tabor, and Rua Francisco Mattos. The decree also specifies which sides of these streets belong to the new neighborhood to ensure clear administrative division.
This officialization required an update to the territorial limits of the neighboring district, Brás de Pina. The new boundaries for Brás de Pina will now utilize references such as Avenida Schultz Wark, Avenida Brasil, Estrada do Quitungo, Rua do Tabor, and Rua Francisco Mattos. While the move provides administrative recognition for residents, the decree does not mandate immediate changes to personal documents or property records.
