Rio de Janeiro police killing investigation features Flávio Bolsonaro

The journalistic series ‘Revelando’ has released a new episode titled ‘The Trial That Never Happened’, which reconstructs the 2021 death of five-year-old Ana Clara Gomes Machado in Rio de Janeiro. The child was killed by rifle shots during a police action.

The production examines why the military police officer accused of the crime, Bruno Delaroli, has not yet faced trial five years later. The episode also highlights the involvement of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, who entered the legal process to defend the officer as the trial approached.

According to the production, a Civil Police delegate identified Delaroli as the shooter. Although the officer was arrested in flagrante and denounced by the Public Ministry, the legal proceedings have not reached the trial phase. The series follows the victim's family, including her mother Cristiane Gomes da Silva, as they continue to seek justice.
