Rio de Janeiro state rolls out local job programs for audiovisual and port sectors

The Maricá Film Commission in Rio de Janeiro opened a registration system for local audiovisual professionals, inviting technicians, artists, producers and support staff to join a talent pool for productions supported by the commission. President of the cultural agency MARÉ, Antonio Grassi, said the initiative "strengthens audiovisual and creates opportunities for those who live and work in Maricá," aiming to connect local workers with incoming film, TV and advertising projects.

Separately, the Porto do Açu complex announced a hybrid internship program for 28 university students graduating from July 2028, covering fields such as administration, engineering, logistics and IT. Managed by Prumo Group, the program offers a competitive stipend, medical assistance, meals and transport. HR manager Thaíza Abreu stated, "We want to be the launchpad for the future of young talent," emphasizing diversity and inclusion. The port employs about 7,000 people daily, with roughly 75% coming from the surrounding region, highlighting the program’s potential impact on local employment.
