Rio de Janeiro to host 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup final draw

FIFA has confirmed that the final draw for the 2027 Women's World Cup will take place on December 11, 2026, at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro. The event will host over one thousand guests, including representatives from qualified national teams and those competing in the qualifying playoffs.

The 2027 tournament marks the first time the competition will be held in South America. It will feature 32 teams competing across eight Brazilian host cities. The Maracanã stadium has been designated as the venue for both the opening match on June 24, 2027, and the final match, while Brazil will serve as the top seed in Group A.

In Salvador, authorities have authorized the sale of acarajé inside the Arena Fonte Nova to promote local culture. The tournament is expected to drive significant interest, with hundreds of thousands of people already expressing interest in tickets and volunteer opportunities.
