Rio de Janeiro to host Electoral Law Congress

The Rio de Janeiro Electoral Law Congress will take place on August 31 at the Rio de Janeiro State Magistracy School (Emerj). The event focuses on contemporary challenges to democracy, electoral governance, and new technologies.

Promoted by the Electoral Judiciary School of the TRE-RJ in partnership with several legal associations, the congress features high-level participants including members of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and the Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro (TRE-RJ). The opening conference, titled ‘Democratic Institutions in Brazil’, will be delivered by Minister Dias Toffoli. Other scheduled discussions include panels on affirmative electoral actions and representation in power spaces.
