Rio Oil & Gas 2026 opens in Rio de Janeiro

The Rio Oil & Gas (ROG.e) 2026 festival opened at Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro, focusing on international cooperation, diversity, and a just energy transition. Organized by the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP), the event features a record number of technical works, with over 1,800 submissions.

Petrobras President Magda Chambriard emphasized that the energy transition must be inclusive and affordable for society, noting that the state-owned company produces 80% of Brazil's primary energy. The event serves as a major hub for business, technology, and innovation, with various companies participating through specialized stands and digital solutions, including AI-driven management tools for the oil and gas sector.
