Brazil Quaest Poll: Lula leads Flávio Bolsonaro in presidential race FAST-MOVING
New Quaest polling data reveals a polarized political landscape in Brazil as the 2026 election cycle begins. In a stimulated first-round poll, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva holds 38% of voting intentions, while Flávio Bolsonaro follows with 31%. Among non-Bolsonarista right-wing voters, Flávio Bolsonaro shows significant strength with 70% support.
Public perception of the current administration remains divided. Approximately 48% of respondents disapprove of President Lula's administration, compared to 46% who approve. The evaluation of the government's management is split, with 37% viewing it as negative, 36% as positive, and 25% as regular. Furthermore, 53% of voters believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.
Economic concerns are prominent, with 49% of respondents stating the economy has worsened over the last 12 months. Regarding social issues, violence is cited as the primary concern for 33% of the electorate, followed by the economy (15%), health (14%), and corruption (14%).
