Rio Grande do Norte retirees face possible August salary delays as CadÚnico updates stall benefit reactivation

The Sindicato dos Servidores Públicos do Rio Grande do Norte (SINSP‑RN) warned that after a meeting with the state government, payments to retired and pensioned workers are being made in a staggered manner. Health retirees received their salaries on 3 August, while other retirees are scheduled for 4 August and pensioners for 5 August. The union said the same pattern could repeat in August, and the state has not released an official payment calendar.

Separately, updates to the Cadastro Único – the federal database that grants access to programmes such as Bolsa Família, BPC and energy subsidies – do not trigger immediate benefit reinstatement. After an update, the information undergoes a review that can take up to 45 days before any blocked or suspended payments are reactivated, requiring families to monitor the process and possibly visit social assistance centres.
