Brazilian municipalities approve CPI extension, new holidays, and development initiatives

The city council of Joaçaba approved a 60‑day extension of its parliamentary inquiry (CPI) to continue investigations into alleged embezzlement of more than R$ 8 million from municipal funds, focusing on the former city treasurer.
