Rio Grande do Norte launches Police Penal exam with 260 openings

The Rio Grande do Norte state government published the edital for a new Polícia Penal RN public‑service competition. The selection, organized by Instituto Avalia, offers 260 immediate vacancies across several roles, including 200 Police Penal positions, 20 social workers, 6 psychiatrists, 20 psychologists and 14 occupational therapists.

Basic salaries range from R$3,500 for social‑service occupations, R$4,081.49 for psychiatrists and up to R$5,681.78 for Police Penal officers. Applicants must hold a university degree, be Brazilian nationals aged 18‑45, be up‑to‑date with electoral and military duties, and pass physical and psychological tests. Registration opens on 22 June and runs until 27 July 2026, with a R$130 fee (exemptions available for low‑income candidates). The written exam is scheduled for 13 September 2026, followed by additional assessments and a two‑year validity period for the result.
