Rio Grande do Norte Military Police contest resumes

The public selection process for the Military Police of Rio Grande do Norte (PMRN) has resumed following a new judicial decision that overturned a previous suspension. The resumption, which includes positions for health professionals and musicians, was officially announced in the State Official Gazette on August 28.

The contest had been halted by the 2nd Public Finance Court of Natal following a civil public action by the State Public Defender's Office. The legal challenge contested irregularities in the notice, specifically regarding the reduction of quotas for Black and mixed-race candidates from 30% to 20%, the removal of vacancies for Indigenous and Quilombola candidates after registration had closed, and the lack of reserved spots for people with disabilities.

A new schedule has been established, with the objective exams set for September 20. Other key dates include the disclosure of exam locations on September 11, the preliminary answer key on September 21, and the preliminary results on October 7. The final result for this stage is expected by October 22, with the entire selection process projected to conclude by April 16, 2027.
