Rio Grande do Norte Public Ministry kicks off AI and Justice Innovation Congress

The Ministério Público do Rio Grande do Norte (MPRN) opened its IV Congress of Innovation and Resolutivity on Thursday, August 6, at the Praiamar Arena Hotel in Natal. The two‑day event brings together public‑sector officials and private‑sector experts, including representatives from Google Brazil, to discuss how artificial intelligence and new technologies can improve efficiency and resolve cases in Brazil’s justice system.

Key sessions feature an opening lecture by prosecutor Joaquim Ribeiro on structural justice, a panel on AI and strategic resolvability led by prosecutor Fernanda Soares, and a discussion on protecting public assets presented by prosecutor Adriano Marcus Brito Assis. The congress aims to explore contemporary mechanisms for integrity, efficiency, and the practical application of innovation within the public prosecutor’s work.

The program concludes on Friday with a focus on public‑management protection and a closing presentation on concrete results from the congress’s initiatives.
