Rio Grande do Sul celebrates September 20th with regional parades

Regional celebrations for September 20th took place in Rio Grande do Sul, featuring parades that honor the state's history and traditions. In the Feitoria neighborhood of São Leopoldo, approximately 55 entities, including schools, marching bands, and traditionalist groups, participated in the 26th edition of the parade despite rain.

Due to unstable weather and slippery conditions, the municipal government of São Leopoldo canceled a secondary parade scheduled for Sunday on Rua Independência to ensure the safety of participants and animals. Meanwhile, in Sapucaia do Sul, the festivities included 1,200 riders and over ten trucks, with the procession starting at the Jayme Caetano Braun Event Park.
