Rio Grande do Sul Electoral Tribunal Holds Media Seminar on Campaign Rules

The Regional Electoral Court of Rio Grande do Sul (TRE‑RS) and the Gaúcha Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters (Agert) hosted an electoral‑campaign seminar on 15 August in Santa Maria. The event, attended by judges, court officials and media professionals, outlined the legal framework for political advertising on radio, television and print during the upcoming elections. Key topics included conduct rules for election coverage, procedures for polling station staff, ballot‑box security, voting‑in‑transit, research regulations and paid advertising. Speakers such as Judge Antônio Maria Iserhard, TRE‑RS secretary Rogério da Silva Vargas and Agert’s vice‑president Débora Dalcin Rodrigues emphasized the need for strict compliance to ensure a fair electoral process.
