Rio Grande do Sul leaders begin government transition

Governor Eduardo Leite and Governor-elect Luciano Zucco have officially inaugurated the Government Transition Office in Porto Alegre. The transition process includes meetings between current and incoming teams to review the state's administrative panorama.

Key topics for discussion include the state's fiscal scenario, tax reform implementation, public security, education, health, and economic development strategies. Additionally, the teams will address policies regarding prevention, response, and recovery from extreme weather events.

As part of the transition activities, Zucco hosted a meeting at the Instituto Caldeira with six former governors of Rio Grande do Sul to discuss relevant state projects. This follows the establishment of the 'Casa do Diálogo', a space designed by the incoming administration to engage with leadership and discuss strategic state initiatives.
