Rio Grande do Sul offers professional training in gas and electricity
Several professional training opportunities have been announced in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, targeting the energy and utility sectors.
SENAI-RS, in partnership with Sulgás, is offering 25 vacancies for a natural gas technician course in Esteio. The program includes an 80% subsidy from Sulgás, leaving students to pay the remaining balance in six installments. The 300-hour course covers pipe installation, material inspection, pressure testing, and maintenance. Applications are open until August 24 for candidates aged 18 or older with a completed elementary education.
Additionally, CPFL RGE has opened registrations for a free distribution electrician training program. There are 20 vacancies available for residents of ten municipalities, including Gravataí, Canoas, and Novo Hamburgo. Applicants must be at least 19 years old, have a high school diploma, and hold a valid category B driver's license. The selection process includes psychological evaluations and practical height tests, with the potential for future employment with the company.
