Rio Grande do Sul opens 2026 Bolsa-Atleta RS applications

The Rio Grande do Sul state government has opened registration for the 2026 Bolsa-Atleta RS program. Managed by the Secretariat of Sport and Leisure (SEL), the initiative involves an investment of R$ 4.5 million to provide monthly stipends to athletes and coaches representing the state in sporting events.

The program is divided into three categories: School, Performance (National and International), and Olympic/Paralympic. Monthly values range from R$ 700 to R$ 5,000. Athletes in the School and Performance categories participating in parasports receive a 25% bonus on their stipend amounts.

Beneficiaries will receive payments retroactively to March 2026 via a Banrisul withdrawal card. Applications must be submitted through the SEL website by November 19.
