Rio Grande do Sul police arrest woman for planting drugs and weapons

A woman has been arrested in Jaguari, Rio Grande do Sul, on suspicion of planting drugs and a weapon at her former partner's home. The Civil Police state the motive was to sabotage a judicial custody battle for her four-year-old child.

The investigation began in July following 19 reports of illegal items at the residence. While a man was initially arrested after police found narcotics and a firearm near a flowerpot, investigators later determined the evidence had been staged.

In a recent operation in the Porto Alegre metropolitan area, authorities arrested three individuals: the ex-partner, a military police officer, and the officer's husband. The officer and her husband are suspected of traveling from Porto Alegre to Jaguari to assist in the scheme.
