Expoagas 2026 concludes with record R$ 830 million in business

The 43rd Convention of Supermarkets (Expoagas 2026) has concluded in Porto Alegre, marking the largest edition in the event's history. Organized by the Associação Gaúcha de Supermercados (Agas), the three-day fair at the Centro de Eventos Fiergs attracted approximately 69,000 visitors.

According to Agas President Lindonor Peruzzo Junior, the event generated R$ 830 million in business transactions among 610 exhibitors. The expanded fair featured a new 7,000-square-meter pavilion and focused on retail trends such as artificial intelligence, automation, consumer behavior, and leadership.

Exhibitors utilized the platform to launch new products, including protein-rich snacks and various food innovations, to test market receptivity. The event also served as a hub for political and economic debate, including a panel featuring candidates for the Government of Rio Grande do Sul.
