Rio Grande do Sul prosecutor files third complaint against man for sexual violence

The Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Sul (MPRS) has filed a third criminal complaint against a 46-year-old man in Torres, accused of a continuous cycle of physical, psychological, and sexual violence against his partner.

According to the prosecution, the man allegedly drugged the victim to commit sexual abuse while she was unconscious and recorded intimate images without her consent. The charges include rape of a vulnerable person and qualified rape in a continuous criminal enterprise. The prosecutor is also seeking the application of the Maria da Penha Law, recognition of recidivism, and compensation for damages caused to the victim.

This follows two previous legal actions against the same individual involving death threats, stalking, and the repeated violation of urgent protective measures. The suspect is currently held in a prison unit in Santa Catarina.
