Rio Grande do Sul releases R$ 2.8 million in unclaimed tax rewards

The Rio Grande do Sul state government has released R$ 2.8 million in unclaimed funds through the Nota Fiscal Gaúcha (NFG) program. These funds, distributed via the Receita Certa cashback modality, are intended for approximately 4.2 million participants and consist of prizes from previous editions that were never redeemed.

Because there was no real increase in ICMS retail tax collection over the last two quarters, no new prizes were generated for this specific modality. Consequently, the government combined rounds 19 and 20 to increase individual payout amounts.

Participants can check for available balances and request redemption through the official NFG website or mobile application under the “Meus prêmios” section. The deadline to claim these funds is January 18, 2027. Payments can be made via Pix (using the holder's CPF as the key) or through a Banrisul personal bank account.
